Primary 5 had a lovely introduction to the Roots of Empathy Programme when they welcomed baby Paudie in to the classroom to become their ‘tiny teacher’, helping the kids learn about feelings, needs, and perspective-taking, and boosting empathy through guided observation and discussion, fostering caring relationships and emotional literacy in children. Thank you to Paudie’s mummy Catherine and our Roots of Empathy coordinator, Mrs Beacom, for facilitating the programme throughout the school year.
