We welcomed Bronagh from Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, who visited our school as part of our Eco School Green Flag renewal application. She toured the school to look at all our ongoing initiatives, helped out with the Big Spring Clean, observed some planting and how we use our school grounds as an Outdoor Classroom. She also met with our Eco Council who kept her up to date with all going on in St. Tierney’s and presented her with a video made by P7 pupils, describing our journey as an Eco-School. Huge thanks to Mrs McElroy, as Eco-School Coordinator, for all her effort in the application process, organising the clean up and planting for every class and for keeping the focus on Eco School going throughout the year. Also, to Paul, for his time and expertise helping out with the garden and planting.
